1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Yard Hustle ("App") collects, uses, and protects information. Yard Hustle connects minors with yard work opportunities under Parent/Guardian supervision.

2. COPPA Compliance & Parental Consent

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Hustler accounts may only be created and managed by a Parent/Guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

Our parental consent process includes:

Parent/Guardian must create their account first
Parent/Guardian creates a "Yard Hustler" account for their child
Parent/Guardian sets a unique username and secure PIN for their child
Child logs in using their parent-created username and PIN
Parent/Guardian must confirm they are the legal guardian

Parents/Guardians have the right to:

Review all personal information collected from their child
Request deletion of their child's personal information
Refuse further collection or use of their child's information
Control all safety settings, services, and payment information

3. Information We Collect

We may collect:

Parent/Guardian contact information (name, email, phone)
Hustler profile details (name, general age range)
Job details (services, dates, addresses)
Photos voluntarily submitted
Communications between Users
Location data (with permission)
Payment information (processed through Stripe)

We do not collect unnecessary data.

For children: Kid accounts are created by parents with a username and secure PIN. Children do not provide email addresses or phone numbers. All kid account data is managed and controlled by the parent/guardian.

4. Location Information

The App uses ZIP code information to:

Match Customers with nearby Yard Hustlers
Show approximate distance to jobs
Filter job requests by service area

We do NOT track real-time location of minors. We do not sell or share location data with advertisers. ZIP code is required during signup for job matching purposes only.

5. How We Use Data

Data is used to:

Operate the platform
Allow job requests
Improve safety
Provide Parent/Guardian oversight
Communicate with Users
Maintain account integrity

By creating an account and using Yard Hustle, you consent to receive marketing emails from us, including updates about new features, tips, promotions, and community news. You may opt-out at any time by contacting us at support@yardhustleapp.com. We will never send marketing emails to children.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use children's data for targeted advertising.

6. Sharing of Information

We may share limited information with:

Customers (job details only, no live location)
Parents/Guardians (full visibility of their child's data)
Service providers (hosting, analytics -- never for ad targeting)
Stripe, Inc. (payment processing)
Law enforcement (when legally required)

We do not share, rent, or sell User data for marketing purposes.

7. Payment Information and Data Security

Payment Processing: Yard Hustle uses Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe") to process payments. We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or expiration date.

When you add a payment method:

Your card details are sent directly to Stripe (never through our servers)
Stripe stores your full card information securely in their PCI-compliant systems
We only store a payment method identifier and the last 4 digits of your card for display purposes
We store your Stripe Customer ID to process future payments

Data Security Measures:

Encryption of passwords and kid PINs
Secure cloud infrastructure
Access controls and logging
Hashed storage of kid login PINs (never stored in plain text)
PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe

No system is 100% secure. Users share information at their own risk.

8. User Rights

Users may:

Request access to their data
Request deletion of their account and data
Update information
Revoke permissions
Close accounts

Parents/Guardians control all Hustler (child) data.

9. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for safety, security, account management, and legal requirements. Users may request deletion at any time. Upon deletion request, we will delete or anonymize most data within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.

10. No Behavioral Advertising

We do not use children's data for behavioral advertising. We do not track children for marketing purposes. We do not share children's data with advertisers or data brokers.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy at any time upon posting. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" and may provide notice within the App. Continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the revised Policy.
